The American Library Association (ALA) has launched Book Club Central—the ultimate online platform for reading resources!

Not sure what to read? At Book Club Central you will find expert book lists—like this list of 12 Circus Novels for the End of Ringling Bros or this list of the Top 10 Women’s Fiction of 2017—to inspire and help your book club decide what to read next. Not in a book club yet? Don’t worry, Book Club Central is also a great way to find book clubs or start one of your own!

Overall, Book Club Central aims to centralize resources for book clubs, encourage reading, and highlight libraries’ roles in their communities.

In addition, award-winning television and film actor, producer, designer, library supporter, and avid reader Sarah Jessica Parker is partnering with ALA to serve as the Honorary Chair of Book Club Central. As honorary chair, Ms. Parker will provide a selection of recommended titles for Book Club Central throughout the year.

This past weekend at ALA, Sarah Jessica Parker announced her First Pick for Book Club Central!

Sarah Jessica Parker’s selection is No One Is Coming to Save Us by Stephanie Powell Watts, published by Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins.

Parker says, “No One Is Coming to Save Us marks the arrival of a wonderfully gifted new American writer. JJ, Ava, and Sylvia are easy characters to fall in love with, and Stephanie Powell Watts brings them to life with warmth and generosity. I can’t wait to share their story, their search for fulfillment and attempts to better understand their past and shape their future, with readers everywhere and I’m jealous of all who will open to page 1 for the first time.”
