Our Andrew Carnegie Medal Winners
The Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction, established in 2012, recognize the best fiction and nonfiction books for adult readers published in the U.S. They are the first single-book awards for adult books given by the American Library Association and reflect the expert judgment and insight of library professionals who work closely with adult readers.
Our Alex Award Winners
The Alex Awards are given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18. The Alex Awards are selected by The Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of the American Library Association (ALA).
Our American Library Association Notable Books
The Notable Books Council, first established in 1944, votes on the Notable Books List, an annual best-of-list comprised of books written for adult readers and published in the US including fiction, nonfiction and poetry.
